InsideTri.com is ramping up the gear reviews. Check us out each Tuesday, as our tech guru tells you what products rock ... and which ones flop. After scoping out two other popular aero helmets, Aaron expounds on the Louis Garneau Rocket Air.

LOUIS GARNEAU ROCKET AIR
Other than keeping up your fashion cred, inadequate ventilation is really the only reason to not wear an aero helmet. But Louis Garneau has addressed the cooling problem by slicing large vents into the front and back of its already popular aero helmet, the Rocket. To add vents isn't difficult, but to add vents without increasing drag is very difficult. LG claims that they have done just that.

The Rocket Air is built on the same structural shell and retention system as its predecessor, the Rocket. The larger vents are the only changes. Although it may not be the most exciting way to design a new helmet, the Rocket was already a winner that just needed a few tweaks.

The Louis Garneau Rocket Air is the best combination of aerodynamics, cooling and value of any aero helmet on the market. The helmet is out right now and available for $150.
